Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM)

The DAFM is the national forest authority and is responsible for forest policy and the promotion of private forestry. It is the government’s voice on forestry in the EU. It administers forestry grant schemes on behalf of the government and is responsible for forest health, forest reproductive material, the control of felling and the promotion and support of research in forestry and forest produce.
