The Irish Bioenergy Association (IrBEA) is the representative body for the bioenergy industry in Ireland. Our membership is spread across biomass, biogas, biofuels, biochar, energy crops and wood fuels. The main objectives of the association are to influence policy makers, to promote the development of bioenergy, and to promote the interests of its members in promoting bioenergy as an environmentally, economically and socially sustainable energy resource. IrBEA is involved in a number of research projects and manages and administers the wood fuel quality assurance scheme (WFQA).
