MEDITE SMARTPLY produces Oriented Strand Board or OSB at our production plant in Waterford. SMARTPLY OSB is a cost effective and environmentally friendly alternative to tropical plywood. It is suitable for use in structural and non-structural applications. With unrivalled quality and environmental certification, SMARTPLY OSB products are among the most environmentally efficient building materials on the market.

Made from locally sourced, sustainable, FSC® certified (FSC licence code FSC-C019958), fast-growing timber, SMARTPLY OSB boards are structurally approved, CE marked and EUTR compliant. In addition to our environmental credentials, we also contribute to the 'healthy environments' movement by ensuring that zero formaldehyde is added to SMARTPLY OSB during its manufacture.

With innovations such as 'SMARTPLY PROPASSIV', the world's first Air & Vapour Tight panel to be certified by the Passive House Institute and 'SMARTPLY FR', featuring an environmentally friendly flame retardant solution built into the panel during manufacture, SMARTPLY OSB products have moved into modern construction applications a long way from their humble beginnings of boarding up broken windows or providing floors for garden sheds.
